Women on Mission Bible Study
The Women on Mission Bible Study Group meets the first Tuesday of each month to go deeper into God’s word personally and with group members. The teacher uses material published in Missions Mosaic, a monthly magazine published by the Woman’s Missionary Union of the Southern Baptist Convention, and enhances it with research and personal application. Group members have individual subscriptions to the magazine. The Bible study supports the biblical basis for salvation, discipleship, and service and relates the monthly studies to the overall theme of WMU work for the year.
At the meetings, the facilitator often gives a brief devotional thought and leads in prayer and then turns the time over to the Bible teacher. Discussion is invited and members participate freely. The Bible Study Group is not an activity-based group, but members participate in churchwide missions programs and ministries, and continue to pray for missionaries and their ministries around the world. The studies encourage us to commit to a missions lifestyle and affirm God’s call on our lives.
The Bible Study Group is one of several groups which comprise the Women on Mission organization at FBCgT. Membership and participation are completely voluntary and all the women of the church are warmly invited to attend.
