Singles and College Life Groups

As a University Student or Young Single Adult at First Baptist Church Georgetown, you have many options in connecting with a group of your peers in our family of faith.

College Students & College-Age Singles 18-22

Made up of mostly college students and some working singles, our college group meets in a safe and intimate atmosphere where dialogue and conversation about God, life, culture, and the world take place. Facilitated by our College Minister, Joe Bumbulis, this group seeks to make ourselves aware of how God intersects our everyday, normal lives while building a community of Christ followers that loves, reaches out, and lives in their world. Often on Sundays, they go out to lunch after church. When FBCgT’s singles who are away at college come home for holidays and breaks, the group often gathers just for food, fun, and fellowship. They are currently exploring opportunities for a college mission trip during Spring Break. “Come join us where college and God converge!”

Singles, Ages 20-40
9:40am, E2.107, taught by Doug & Kasie Noble

In addition to their Sunday morning Bible study time, they get together once a month for a social gathering. They also do select “movie nights,” usually once a quarter, gathering at church for a movie and fellowship. They are currently exploring opportunities to meet for fellowship with singles groups in other Georgetown churches.

Singles, Ages 40-69
9:40am, E2.202, taught by Bud & Lynn DeGroot

On Sunday mornings, the group enjoys the LifeGuide Bible Studies from InterVarsity Press. Recently their study focused on “Self Esteem,” and upcoming studies will be on “Hope” and “Miracles.” They often go out to eat after church or gather at someone’s home for a meal and fellowship. This spring they are planning a trip on the Willow City Loop to see the bluebonnets followed by a meal at Coopers in Llano.
