Other verses to read: 1 John 5:5; 2 Peter 3:9.

There is nothing hidden from the fiery eyes of Jesus Christ. Do you have secret sins in your life that need to be brought out into the open?

Every one of us needs a trusted brother or sister in Christ with whom we can share our sin struggles. If you have sin in your life that no one else knows about, set up a time this week to shed light on the issue with a trusted friend. If there is anything else in your life that needs focus, make a plan to share that.

The messages of Jesus to the churches in Revelation have often focused on repentance. Encourage a co-worker, friend or family member this week by sharing an example of how God has used repentance in your life to bring about healing and blessing.

The mercy of Jesus is absolutely stunning. Even when the church in Thyatira was allowing the woman Jezebel to persist in her corruption, Jesus warned them so they could repent. Jezebel and those who committed adultery with her were given opportunities to repent and be spared from Christ’s wrath at every turn. What a merciful ruler Jesus is! No matter what you have done, He is ready and willing to forgive those who repent.

You may have friends or family who have rejected Jesus or left the church. It is possible that they feel they have gone too far to be forgiven by Jesus, so they continue to plunge deeper and deeper into sin.

In your prayer time this week, pray specifically for this person. Thank God for His patience toward those who are unwilling to repent, and the grace He has shown you personally.

Reach out to them this week, and let them know you’ve been praying for them. You can have confidence that as long as they have breath in their lungs, God is giving them the opportunity to repent and turn back to Him.
