What freedoms have you enjoyed most in your life as a citizen of the United States? Thank someone who has taken part in defending our freedoms. How will you celebrate July 4 this year? How can you use your freedom during this next week to serve someone else?

Freedom is best experienced when we live by faith in Jesus Christ, under His authority, as a servant of Jesus Christ. In what ways do you need to adjust your life (to be under Christ’s authority, to be living as His servant) this week and over the summer so that you might experience more freedom in Jesus Christ?

What freedoms in Christ have greatly influenced your life in the last couple of years? Share about one of these freedoms with a family member as a way to encourage him or her to seek to know Jesus Christ.

As one who has been set free by Jesus Christ, how do you plan on using your freedom this summer for those in your circles of relationships for the sake of their freedom in Jesus Christ? Make a plan for the next two months related to three people in your life. Come up with specific ways you will serve those people for the sake of their freedom in Christ.

How will you pray this summer for your friends and family, our country, and for the world, particularly related to freedom in Jesus Christ?
