Here are some simple ways to apply today’s Scripture to your life:

As you spend time alone with the Lord this week, remember that you have God’s full attention when you go to Him in prayer. Your prayers are precious and cherished by Him. When you pray, have faith that God is pleased to hear your prayer and trust that He will act! Spend time praying for at least 10 minutes per day this week.

Even in the midst of or after a traumatic event caused by our sin, God is calling us to repentance. Regardless of what we have done or how far we have strayed, there is hope for us to repent from our hard heartedness and turn to God for forgiveness. Perhaps you have a friend or relative who has seemingly ruined their life because of foolish sins and hard-heartedness toward God. Contact them this week and let them know that Jesus will welcome all who come to Him in faith and repentance.

Read Romans 2:6 and meditate on God’s patience, knowing that it is His loving patience that is holding back God’s wrath toward those who rebel against Him. Take a moment to thank God for His patience and kindness, which are meant to lead us to repentance.
