Here are a few simple ways you can apply today’s Scripture to your life:

Since there will ultimately be nothing left to trust or hope in other than Jesus, make every effort to rid your life of idols. This means anything you depend on or treasure more than your relationship with Christ.

When you think of Jesus, remember that He is both a lamb and a lion. Consider that one day He will approach everyone who is ungodly and opposed to Him as a furious lion, ready to pour out His wrath on the wicked. Let this truth propel you into sharing the truth of God with those around you so that they might see God’s grace, receive His forgiveness and be spared from the wrath of
the lamb.

Perhaps you’ve experienced shame or fear when you’ve sinned against God. You might even feel like you can’t approach God because He is angry with you. However, if you’re someone who is embracing repentance and is willing to turn to Christ for forgiveness, there is no need to be afraid. The wonderful news of the gospel sets us free from the wrath of the lamb and we are instead accepted by God as His friends. As Christians, even when we fail in our struggle against sin we are shielded from the wrath of the lamb by His very own blood which was shed on the cross. This week, remind a fellow believer of this amazing truth and encourage them to hide no more.
