Getting the Most Out of Watching Football will be the special feature when Friday Folks meets on Friday, September 26. FBCgT’s own football expert, Ted Koy, former outstanding football player at UT, will be our special guest. Ted will help FF know what to look for in watching a football game. Football experts and novices alike will benefit from Ted’s experiences as a player, commentator, and spectator.

Lunch will be Chick-fil-A sandwiches with donations of $2 accepted. The Friday Folks Ministry Team will add luscious fruit salad and scrumptious Desserts. FF Ministry Project for September will be newborn diapers and wipes for our ministry partner, the Pregnancy Help Center.

LAST CALL FOR ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO VISIT TDS’ WILD GAME SAFARI IN CREEDMOOR (SOUTH OF AUSTIN).

Did you miss the first chance to visit this amazing game preserve? Here’s another opportunity.

Leaving Georgetown at 9am and traveling to Creedmoor (just south of Austin), you’ll tour the state’s first totally integrated recycling, composting, and landfill facility. Then, just next door, you’ll visit the TDS Exotic Game Ranch and Pavilion. See the Grant Zebra’s play, the Dama Gazelles run through the grass, marvel at the antlers of the Red Deer, and keep an eye out for the Wildebeest. Let the Reticulated Giraffe eat lunch from your hand, while watching out for their newest addition, a rhinoceros.

Lunch will be provided in the TDS Pavilion, directly downwind of the landfill (promise you won’t smell a thing).

Return to Georgetown by 2:30pm.
