Pathway

All grade-school children (1st-5th graders) meet on the second floor of Education Building 3 for “Pathway.” Someone will be there to show which room their group is in that morning. Each week they will be in a different room exploring God’s Word in a creative way.

AWANAs

AWANAs begins Wednesday, September 2, from 6-7:30pm for children 3 years old through 5th grade, and will meet in the E3 building.

Weekly, your child will be enriched by Bible Learning, Missions, and Games. AWANAs is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15: Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed

Kidz Kamp: Discovering Who God Is
July 12-15, Day Camp at Reunion Ranch from 9:30am-2pm
For children entering 2nd – 4th grade.
Activities include Bible applications, music, crafts, games, pony rides, water slides, paddle boats, swimming and more!
A school bus will leave FBCgT at 8:30am and return at 2:30pm every day,

Children’s Camp
July 22-25, Overnight camp at Austin College in Sherman, TX
For children entering 3rd – 6th grade.

All Stars & Jr. Kids Church

All-Stars offers a place for kids to worship while their parents attend “big church.” All-Stars is for 1st-5th graders, meets in the Rec Center, and is taught by committed and creative leaders who relay God’s truth though biblical teachings, interactive dramas, puppets, fun games, and object lessons. Meets every Sunday at 11am.

Jr. Kid’s Church is for 4 and 5 year olds where they enjoy age-appropriate crafts, worship, puppets, and a Bible lesson. Meets every Sunday at 11am on the first floor of the E3 building.

MOPS

MOPS meets at First Baptist Church of Georgetown (FBCgT) starting in September and ending in May. Childcare is available for infants through Kindergarten. Each meeting features a speaker, wisdom from a seasoned mentor mom, yummy breakfast and time to socialize with other moms just like you. Come join the fun!

Upward Basketball

Registration for the 2009-2010 season starts September 14. Online registration will be available and active via this web site at that time. Evaluations are November 2, 3, and 5: all registered participants must attend. Practices begin November 23 and the first games are the weekend of January 8, 2010.

Our Mission: A child’s growth is comprised of many dimensions: spiritual, emotional, physical, social and cognitive. We strive to provide developmentally appropriate experiences that allow each child to progress in these areas at his/her own rate and to enjoy feelings of success. This is best done through hands-on activities in learning centers.

Our Purpose: The purpose of the preschool is to extend the ministry of and help accomplish the purpose of First Baptist Church by providing care, education, and development for each child enrolled to his/her greatest potential. Our goal is to have a program that allows children to grow and develop as Jesus did – “in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52)
