GriefShare offers a safe, loving, confidential environment for those grieving the death of a loved one. The next GriefShare 13-week course begins Thursday, Jan 7, 2010 and concludes on April 4, 2010. Meetings are every Thursday at 6:30pm.

“All in all, GriefShare changed our focus from ourselves to God. From the first session to the last one, our understanding of grief, our understanding of what was happening in our lives changed as we learned about the journey through the DVD’s, the Workbook and others. Even those who were hesitant to share initially learned as others shared. We tell everyone who is grieving about GriefShare and urge them to attend.” – Mickey & Al Fisher

To help people deal with grief, First Baptist is offering GriefShare, a 13-week sequential course to help you through the grieving process. Each session meets on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30pm in E2.103. The registration fee of $15 covers the cost of materials.

GriefShare is built around the three components of a video seminar, a support group and a workbook. The seminar/DVD portion provides important teaching by professionals on topics related to death and grief. The support group allows participants to talk through issues and feelings related to their own grief experiences. The workbook guides participants in sorting through their thoughts and emotions and in learning what the Bible says about grief-related topics.
