Joe serves as executive pastor of FBG and is passionate about seeing the people and ministers of the church reach their potential in the ministries of the Kingdom. He believes in empowering and guiding people to make a difference in their daily and professional lives.
Joe has been the executive pastor of FBG since January 2011. Prior to this, he served as executive pastor of a sister church in Mansfield, Texas for 12 years. He and his family served as missionaries with the International Mission Board in East Africa for seven years prior to moving to Mansfield. Before entering into full-time ministry, Joe worked 12 years in the livestock nutrition industry in sales and sales management.
In 2013, Joe went on a mission trip to Anchorage, Alaska and was moved by the people of Alaska to be more involved. Since then, Joe leads at least one mission trip to Alaska and serves as treasurer of the board of directors of Alaska Missions and Retreats. He is always looking for people to join him on the next Alaskan adventure.
Joe and his wife, Jayme, were high school sweethearts in their hometown of De Kalb, Texas (a small town in northeast Texas). They have grown children; daughter, Jennifer and a son, Jordan; daughter-in-law, Brittani; granddaughter, Braelyn and grandson, Jack. For fun, Joe and Jayme enjoy sports, hunting, hiking, working out, yard work and playing golf.
Joe is a graduate of Texas A&M University and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
