First Baptist GeorgeTown

What is Connections? For years FBG has been dedicated to missions — reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ both locally and internationally. We seek to “connect” people in several ways.

  1. Helping people connect with the purpose for which they were created, chiefly to know, love and enjoy the one true God.
  2. Helping people connect with their neighbors and the nations by loving them well.
  3. Mobilizing people to help others do the first two. In doing this, we are all living on mission. Living on mission means that we are leveraging everything about our lives to help others be able to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Austin Disaster Relief Network Orientations
Every new volunteer that wants to join ADRN is required to take a three hour class to give an introduction to ADRN, how to get involved, and the impact they're having on the community and/or families they're serving in times of disaster. Every volunteer that completes this course will receive an ADRN badge and become a certified ADRN volunteer. Please click this link to see upcoming orientation dates.

If you register for an orientation and complete it, please contact Charlsie Wilkins at so we know that you have this certification.

Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief Yellow Cap Orientation
If you'd like to be certified in the Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief Yellow Cap program, you'll need to take one of their orientation courses. The course is required for participants in the Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief ministry. This course is also for anyone needing to update their expired ID badge.

Advanced registration is suggested for all those planning to attend. The course is free, but there is a $30 fee for a background check. For a calendar of available course dates and locations, click here.

If you register for this course and complete it, please contact Chad Warren at so we know that you have this certification.
