  All Stars Kid's Church
  & Jr. Kid's Church

  
  All Stars invites all children in the 1st–5th grades to come worship with us. All Stars is made up of a team of committed leaders whose goal is to relay God’s truth through the teaching of the Word, interactive dramas, puppets, and object lessons. All Stars meets in the recreation center.

  Jr. Kids’ Church offers a place for the 4 and 5 year olds to worship. Age appropriate crafts, worship time, puppets, and a Bible lesson are all a part of Jr. Kids’ Church. This is an exciting place for your young children to come and worship Jesus!

  All Stars Kids’ Church and Jr. Kids’ Church meet every 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday of the month during the 11:00 A.M. worship hour. The 1st Sunday of the month at FBC is reserved for all the children, ages 4 years old and up, to attend worship with their families.

  AWANAs

  The Awana name was derived from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. This program is offered to children 3 years through 2nd grade on Sunday evenings from 5:30–7:00. The three areas of Awanas are Bible Learning, Missions, and Games. One of the biggest needs is for Listeners from 5:30–6:00 P.M. to listen to children recite memory verses to prepare them to be “approved workmen”. Weekly preparation time is not required for Listeners.

  Breakout

  Break Out is a discipleship study for children, 3rd–5th grades. It meets Sunday evenings from 5:30–7:00pm.

  Extended Session

  Extended Session takes place during the Sunday morning Worship times (9:40–11:00 and 11:00–12:15 ) each week. Our goal is to provide loving and safe childcare for children, birth–3 years of age, while their parents participate in adult worship. We encourage any parent who uses extended session for their children to participate in the rotation of workers. (This averages three to four times per year.)

  Kid's Praise Club

  Kid’s Praise Club is a fun way to learn about Jesus as well as basic music fundamentals. We learn that there are many different ways to praise the Lord through singing, instruments, games, and arts and crafts. There are 3 age groups available: Preschool, Kindergarten–2nd grade, and 3rd–5th grade.

  Each group combines Bible lessons with age appropriate songs and fun activities. During the year we have the opportunity to sing during Sunday morning services, at Jr. Kid’s Church, and at the annual Christmas Program. We also have a concert in the spring that features our very own children! For the past few years, we’ve also participated with Awana for Christmas caroling at a local nursing home.

  Kid’s Praise Club meets on Sunday afternoons in the spring and fall. The Preschool group meets from 5–5:30 P.M. and the Kindergarten–5th grade groups meet from 4:30–5:15 P.M. Snacks are provided.

  Life Groups

  Life Groups have always been, and continue to be our biggest outreach to the children of our community. We provide Bible instruction to children, birth–5th grade, on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 9:40. We always need people with a passion to minister to children to serve in teaching roles, as substitutes, or as “job share” teachers (rotating teaching responsibilities).

  Pathway

  Pathway is our ministry to 1st–5th grades on Sunday morning at 9:40. Pathway is taught to the children in a multi-dimensional learning style through drama, art, cooking, science, computer, and games. The children rotate each week to a different workshop to learn in a different way about the Bible lesson. Shepherds minister to the children as they build relationships through the year as Workshop leaders teach the Bible lesson each week through drama, art, cooking, science, computer, or games.

  Summertime Activities

  A variety of children’s activities are offered as options during the summertime. Included are Kidz Kamp (for children who have completed 1st–3rd grades), Preteen Camp (for children who have completed 3rd–5th grades), Vacation Bible School (for children, ages 4–completed 5th grade), and Children’s Music Camp (for children who have completed kindergarten–5th grade).

  Upward Basketball & Cheerleading

  Upward is an evangelistic sports ministry dedicated to promoting community outreach, developing volunteer leadership, and sharing the love of Christ with children and their families. Specifically designed for Pre-K through 6th grade boys and girls, Upward basketball and cheerleading seek to develop the self-esteem of each participant, while teaching sportsmanship, character, athletic skills, and respect for authority in every situation.
