Beliefs

We believe in Jesus Christ as God’s only son (John 3:16) who died on the cross for our sins and rose again to give life. We invite people to discover salvation through Jesus. We believe in the Bible as God’s Word and use it as a guide for life. We believe in the church as the body of Christ and seek to worship, serve, minister, and grow as followers of Jesus Christ.

Vision

By 2013 every member of First Baptist Church Georgetown will actively share Jesus, serve people, and seek God’s presence in their homes, community, and the world.

History

First Baptist Church Georgetown is Georgetown’s oldest Baptist church. Located just west of 1-35 on Highway 29, First Baptist has encouraged members to actively live out Christ’s Love for over 140 years. With traditional and contemporary worship, Bible-based instruction, and unlimited ministry opportunities, First Baptist remains dedicated to bringing Christ to our community and our community to Christ.
