The FBG church family strives to glorify God by being disciples of Jesus Christ who are making disciples. As disciples, we love God and we love people. Our great hope and ambition is that people will believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and so join with us in following Jesus Christ. We believe there is no more significant life than to love God, love people and help others do
The heart of our 55+ ministry is best described by Psalm 71:17-18 (NASB95), “O God, You have taught me from my youth, And I still declare Your wondrous deeds. And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.” Our hope is that every generation in our church family is seeking to help the next generation know and follow the Lord. The FBG 55+ ministry is striving to love God, love people and help the next generation do the same.
Whatever your gifting, we have a place for you to join with us, serve and invest in the lives of other adults 55+ and the next generation.
George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum Tour,
The FBG 55+ ministry is taking a day trip to College Station, Texas to tour the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Joining us on the trip will be David Valdez, a member of FBG, who was senior President Bush’s photographer while he was a vice president and president in the White House. Most of the photos in the library were taken by David. He will make a presentation for us just after we arrive at the museum and will be available throughout our time in the museum to answer questions. We have arranged for a charter bus to transport our group. The bus will arrive at 7:15 a.m. We’ll depart the Georgetown Campus parking lot around 7:30 a.m. and return by 5:00 p.m. We’ll be making other stops including lunch at a restaurant in the College Station area. Please let us know of your desire to fellowship with us and to participate in this trip by clicking this link to sign up. The cost of the bus transportation and museum admission is $25 per person. Reservations will be accepted through June 5.
Sunday Mornings for adults 55+
Age-based Life Groups, small groups that study the Bible and encourage one another to love God, love people and help others do the same, are available every Sunday at 8:15, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. These Life Groups allow you to get to know people, share stories and laughs, and share one another’s burdens and joys. Adults 55+ often attend one of the two morning worship services at 9:30 or 11:00 a.m.
